Absolutely wonderful little hut in a gorgeous location. Pauline and Doug were the perfect hosts and the hut was cosy and well equipped. I stayed one night with my 7 & 9 year old daughters who loved toasting marshmallows in the fire pit and meeting the farm animals. The hot shower in the morning was bliss! Only sorry we couldn’t stay longer, but will definitely be back - thank you!

Great spot with many easily navigable walking routes. Beautiful location and very friendly host.

Oscar the whippet and I loved it. The peace and quiet, letting Osky out to roam far from any roads, the space. A perfect place to get away from it all. I'll definitely be going back! Pauline and Doug were very helpful. See you soon!

A very welcome stay ..the view alone is enough to come back too! As for the walks around the hut across the moors, well they were amazing. Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise x

A must stay while around Lynton and Lynmouth. Pauline and Doug being great hosts and great human beings above everything. The place is a farm and it adds just extra bit of charm while being around horses, pigs , chickens and roosters. If you want to feel silence and darkness of the Moor, this is the place. A great place, just like Pauline described. They even gifted my daughter few freshly laid chicken eggs which made my daughter’s day - as she experienced a real “Easter Egg Hunt” for the first time ever.
A must visit for us in the summer.

"The location feels remote and is beautiful…. I had my dog with me, so an enclosed paddock he could explore to feel comfortable too was great. Everything you could need is there, the hut is so cosy and comfortable. The hut porch is a perfect observation point for the sunset over the sea and for a relaxed cup of morning coffee. Loved the shower too…. I was touring North Devon with my dog, great area. Lynton and Lynmouth are great, picturesque, the people are so welcoming. I found a great dog friendly beach at Saunton Sands, ideal for swimming and paddle boarding. Highly recommend North Devon and Pauline’s hospitality. This Shepherds Hut is the perfect glamping experience.  !"

"We had a lovely stay at Pauline's cottage. Pauline and her husband were very kind and supportive throughout our stay. The cottage was very clean and lovely decorated. There was nothing missing. We also had a lovely back garden where our dogs could run free and have a great time. The location of the farm is absolutely great and one can effectively disconnect from the stress of the daily life. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back next year. The location and view from the door is outstanding and the welcome was perfect. Small issues were dealt with promptly and the advice given was useful. For anyone on a walking holiday in North Devon this would be the perfect place to stay.

The skies at night are out of this world and the views are stunning. A quick walk and you’re up on the moors where you can roam uninterrupted for miles (apart from encountering exmoor ponies). Great location close to a well stocked petrol station and Lynton is close by too as are other beautiful places.

Great communication and very welcoming. Pauline was super-accommodating with our desire to check in a bit early, and the site is beautiful, quiet and private. Don't let the outside shower put you off - it is nice and clean and beautifully hot! We also had a brief chat with Doug on our way out, and he was both friendly and engaging. The two of them are excellent hosts of a lovely Shepherds Hut - we wouldn't hesitate to come back. Tom, Elly, Kiwi and Mabel.
