We loved our stay at Swallow Cottage. It is a lovely peaceful location on the edge of the moors but close enough to Lynton and lynmouth. The cottage is very comfortable with wonderful views and we enjoyed the welcome we got from the free range pigs. The race horses are gorgeous too. An added bonus of some tasty treats and eggs very much appreciated. We would love to stay here again.

I can’t recommend Swallow Cottage highly enough for comfort, cleanliness and an amazing location. Some lovely surprise welcome touches (won’t spoil for future guests!). Beautiful area, both moor and beaches. We followed Pauline’s recommendations and so enjoyed our walks, sightseeing and food and drink recommendations. We didn’t take our dogs but will next time, perfect for dog owners. Thankyou Pauline so much 😀

Very peaceful, lovely views, good walking. lovely touch of farm eggs, cream scones and chocolates there on our arrival. Well located for exploring the area. cosy and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at the sea view hut. The location is fabulous, the hut is very comfortable and Pauline and her husband are friendly and extremely welcoming. The place is magical for kids (age 4 and 1) and our dog also loved it. There’s hens and two pigs roaming freely and stunning horses in a fenced pasture in front of the hut. The shower and toilets were also really functional. Highly recommend it for a nature holiday!

Fantastic stay. we were made to feel very welcome. Our hosts couldn't have been lovelier. the place was lovely, in a farm on the edge of Exmoor, you could literally walk out and onto the moor.

We had a lovely time staying in Jackdaw Lodge on Pauline and Doug’s farm. The location is very peaceful and so beautiful with great walks in your doorstep and animals all around. We especially loved the seeing the pigs at our gate. The lodge was comfortable, a great size and also a good size garden. The description prior to booking stated if you are looking for pristine it isn’t for you, which is totally fair and it is rustic. Pauline’s communication was brilliant the entire time, even when we had questions during our stay. The farm is in a very remote location up narrow lanes with no shops in easy walking distance so need to be sure you have all you need or it will be an extra trip out in the car. We had a great time and would recommend for a quiet getaway.

A beautiful and peaceful setting as described. I think we would have enjoyed that seclusion more if we didn't have to entertain the kids! The local towns of Lynton and Lynmouth were stunning. The accommodation was described well and meets all needs. Very friendly hosts. Would definitely love to visit again

As an owner of two large dogs I was delighted that Pauline's cottage was so well set up to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. It was joyful to wake up to amazing views, spend time with their pet pigs and walk our socks and paws off over the Moor. Beautiful little cottage in such an idyllic area. The views alone are breathtaking. We even had a friendly visit from the farm pigs that are free roaming. The Garden for the dog was completely enclosed and a great outside space. Inside was very clean and with everything you need including fast WiFi, comfortable beds and a lovely shower! Couldn’t fault the space or the host. Incredible stay and can’t wait to come back. Thanks Pauline.

Another amazing & relaxing stay. So peaceful and remote, came home feeling totally chilled. Beautiful views, stunning location with jam & cream scones on arrival! Pauline & Doug are perfect hosts with the friendliest pigs :) My second stay (both in the last month) and most definitely won’t be my last! Croyde, Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Combe Martin & Saunton Sands all within a 40 min (or less) drive and Lynton & Lynmouth just a 5 min drive. So much to see in do in beautiful North Devon.

Wonderful peaceful location within Exmoor National Park. No neighbours and able to park right outside of the hut. Beautiful walks straight out on to the moor. Great hot shower. Perfect for a romantic break. Definitely recommend it.
